The South Suburban Chamber 
celebrates Cousins Subs (Brother Sister Subs System, LLC)
as the Featured Member for September.

 

  

My sister, Cheryl, and I own and operate four Cousins Subs restaurants within the cities of Franklin, Oak Creek, Greenfield, and South Milwaukee.  The South Suburban Chamber of Commerce came highly recommend to us by fellow business owners and other business related contacts.  From the organized and frequently updated communication through emails, to the “Maximizing Your Membership” workshops, to the helpfulness and professionalism of Barbara and Heidi, we’re very pleased with our choice to join the Chamber of Commerce this year. We’re excited about the advertising opportunities and the ability to sample our product at the annual golf outing on Monday, August 23^rd, 2010.  In addition, we’re working on a Donation Day where 10% of all sales on Saturday, September 18^th, 2010 from our Oak Creek (23²⁷ W. Ryan Rd.) and Franklin (7178 S. 76^th St.) restaurants will be donated to the South Suburban Chamber of Commerce.  The funds raised from the Cousins Subs Donation Day will help promote the South Suburban Chamber of Commerce.  We’re excited about our membership and look forward to grow along with the South Suburban Chamber.

 Cheryl and I started at Cousins Subs when we were in High School.  We started as team members learning the basics of cashiering, sub making, preparatory work, cleaning, and baking bread.  Once we started college we were promoted to management.  From Shift Manager, to Assistant Training Manager, to General Manager of a corporate location, we continued to grow within Cousins Subs.  A few semesters before graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing I accepted a Marketing position at the Cousins Subs corporate office in Menomonee Falls, WI.  I went from a Marketing Representative, to a Marketing Consultant, to the Marketing Manager for Cousins Subs.  While working in the Marketing Department I purchased my first Cousins Subs franchised restaurant in January of 2006 (South Milwaukee).  My sister, Cheryl, acted as the General Manager of the South Milwaukee location while I continued to work at Cousins Subs corporate.  In May of 2007 Cheryl and I decided to partner up and purchase the 76^th & Rawson location in Franklin.  Then one year later, in April of 2008, we purchased the 27^th & College location in Greenfield and the 23^rd and Ryan Rd., location in Oak Creek.  I ended my employment with Cousins Subs corporate before I purchased the Greenfield and Oak Creek locations.

Cheryl and I are very active in the day-to-date operations of our Cousins Subs restaurants.  We love the fact that we get to interact daily with the guests of our restaurants and we love working with our team members.  It’s incredibly challenging, and sometimes unpredictable, but also very rewarding.  We continue to grow our sales at our current Cousins Subs restaurants thru in store marketing and alternative venue opportunities.  We’re also very interested in working with schools, churches, and any other non-profit to help them with fundraising opportunities.  We hope we can grow our business thru the acquisition of existing locations or possible opening new locations.
